These terms govern your use of orbs.studio (the "Site"), the Orbs waitlist, and the Orbs application (together, the "Service"), operated by Orbs ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist lets us email you about Orbs' launch and occasional product updates (around two emails). It is not a purchase and does not guarantee availability, a specific price, or a launch date — all of which may change. You can unsubscribe at any time.
2. The Orbs app
When available, Orbs is licensed to you, not sold. A single license may be activated on up to five of your Macs for your personal or business use. You agree not to resell, redistribute, share, or attempt to circumvent the licensing of Orbs.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
4. Purchases & refunds
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar, subject to their terms. For any billing or refund question, contact support@orbs.studio and we'll help.
5. Intellectual property
Orbs, the Orbs name and logo, the Site, and the software are our property and are protected by applicable law. These terms don't grant you any rights to them except as needed to use the Service.
6. Disclaimer & liability
The Site and the Service are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of the Service means you accept the current terms.
This policy explains what we collect and why. In short: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and the Orbs app runs locally on your Mac.
What we collect
Waitlist email. When you join the waitlist we store your email address to notify you about Orbs' launch and send occasional updates. That's it — around two emails.
Purchases. If you buy Orbs, payment is handled by our merchant of record, Polar. We receive your email and order details to deliver your license, but never your card details. Your license email is sent via our email provider, Resend.
Anonymous app analytics. The Orbs app may send privacy-light usage data: a pseudonymous device identifier (a one-way hash — not reversible to you), app and macOS version, coarse location (city / region / country, derived at our edge — never your precise location or exact IP address), and which features are used. This helps us improve Orbs, and you can turn it off any time in Preferences → General → Privacy.
Local storage. This site stores a small flag in your browser to remember that you joined the waitlist. It is not a tracking cookie and never leaves your device.
What we never do
We don't sell or rent your data, we don't run ads, and the Orbs app does not upload your files, your clipboard, or the contents of the actions you run — those stay on your Mac.
Where your data lives
Waitlist and license data are stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure. We keep waitlist emails until you ask us to remove them or they're no longer needed.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email at any time.
Turn off anonymous analytics in the app's Privacy settings.
Request a copy of, or deletion of, your data by emailing us.
